Space Connect Software License & Terms
Effective date: October 12, 2026
Licensor: Space Connect Investments Company, a Delaware corporation
Contact: help@space-connect.com
These Software License & Terms (the Terms) govern the Early Access releases of SC.Community and SC.Artifacts (together, the Products). The Products are proprietary, confidential, binary-only software. They are not open-source or source-available software.
1. Early Access
The Products are pre-release software offered for evaluation and real professional work while they continue to evolve. Early Access is currently free and has no expiration date. Free Early Access does not promise that later releases, services, or commercial offerings will remain free or use the same terms.
The Products are provided only for a human operator who is at least 18 years old and has legal capacity to use them for professional or business work.
2. License grant
Subject to these Terms, Space Connect Investments Company grants one human operator a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Products in binary form on Windows 11 x64 devices under that operator's control.
The operator may use the Products for professional or business work performed for the operator, the operator's employer, or the operator's clients. The operator may also create and use private scripts, automations, agents, and plugins that interact with the Products' local APIs, but only for that same operator's use under this license.
This license does not grant rights to source code or to any other Space Connect product, service, trademark, or material except as expressly stated here.
3. Restrictions
The operator may not, and may not permit another person or entity to:
- access or obtain Product source code, except for third-party source independently available under its own license;
- modify, adapt, translate, compile, or create a modified build of a Product;
- copy a Product except for copies reasonably necessary to install or back up the authorized binary software;
- redistribute, publish, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, transfer, or otherwise provide a Product to another operator;
- publicly host a Product or make it available as a network, cloud, or shared service;
- white-label, rebrand, resell, or offer a Product as part of a service bureau or managed service;
- embed a Product in a downstream product or service, or use it as a downstream database, backend, or service for other operators; or
- remove or obscure proprietary or third-party notices.
These Terms do not impose a separate competitive-use restriction. The restrictions above apply to the acts they describe, regardless of whether the operator's work competes with Space Connect.
4. One-operator boundary and local APIs
The license belongs to one human operator, not to a seat pool, team, employer, client, household, or device. Work for an employer or client does not give that employer, client, or any other person a right to operate, receive, host, or redistribute the Products.
The local APIs are intended for the authorized operator's private tools on controlled devices. They are not a grant of public-hosting, multi-user, redistribution, sublicensing, resale, service-bureau, or downstream embedded-service rights.
5. Ownership and user content
Space Connect Investments Company and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Products and Space Connect names, logos, code, binaries, designs, and other Product materials. No ownership transfers under these Terms.
As between the operator and Space Connect Investments Company, the operator retains rights in business data, files, and independently authored content the operator places in or creates with the Products, subject to any third-party rights. The operator is responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to collect, use, store, process, export, and disclose that material.
6. Third-party software and services
Third-party components included with the Products are governed by their own licenses. Those licenses may grant rights that differ from these Terms, and nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted directly by a third-party license. The factual inventory and reproduced license texts are in the Third-Party Notices.
External services used for maps, geocoding, links, email, or other user-directed operations are governed by their providers' terms and privacy practices. Space Connect Investments Company does not control those services.
7. Privacy and local data
The Products' current data practices are described in the Privacy Notice. The Products are local-first, do not require a Space Connect cloud account, and do not send Space Connect telemetry or automatically upload logs. User-directed tools and third-party services may process information under their own practices.
8. Support, updates, and feedback
Early Access support is available by email at help@space-connect.com on a reasonable-effort basis. No response time, resolution time, availability target, service level agreement, maintenance commitment, or obligation to deliver a feature or update is promised.
An operator may choose to send feedback, but Space Connect Investments Company does not claim ownership of it and these Terms do not grant a broad license to it. Any use of separately owned feedback or material requires the permission otherwise available under law or a separate agreement.
9. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Products and support are provided as is and as available, with all faults and without warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Space Connect Investments Company does not warrant that the Products will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, compatible with every environment, or suitable for a particular purpose.
The operator is responsible for professional judgment, device security, access control, backups, and review of Product data and outputs before relying on them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of Space Connect Investments Company arising out of or relating to an affected Product or these Terms will not exceed the fees the operator actually paid to Space Connect Investments Company for that affected Product during the applicable period giving rise to the claim. Because Early Access is ordinarily free, that cap will normally be zero.
This limitation is subject to mandatory law and does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Termination
This license continues without a fixed expiration date unless terminated under these Terms. A material breach terminates the license. After termination, the operator must stop using and uninstall the Products. The operator remains responsible for exporting any data the operator wishes to keep before uninstalling because a full uninstall removes the affected Product's local application data.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, restrictions, third-party rights, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law, survive termination.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory law requires otherwise. Subject to mandatory law, any dispute arising out of or relating to a Product or these Terms must be brought exclusively in an applicable state or federal court located in Denver, Colorado, and each party consents to that court's jurisdiction and venue.
13. Read-only presentation and contact
The Products present these Terms and the other public legal documents as read-only information. They do not require clickwrap, store acceptance state, track reacceptance, contact an activation or entitlement service, or remotely disable a Product.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to help@space-connect.com.
